Oreo Soft Cookies from Japan – How Do They Hold Up to the American Version?

japanese oreos
John Riggs, TSM
I love junk food, I love cookies and I love the Japanese culture. It would only make sense that I would love these Oreos from Japan, but how are these different from the ones we have in America? I had to find out for myself.

These ones come individually wrapped which is pretty hand, but are noticeably smaller. These seem to be about the same size of a standard Oreo. Just as soft, these had a slight mint taste, but not overpowering

What got me was that the chocolate wasn’t as strong of a chocolate taste as the Oreos we have here. Sure, it’s chocolate flavored, but not as sweet. This is the norm’ for Japanese snacks.

All in all, they’re pretty good, but I’ll stick with what we can find on our shelves right here in the good ol’ US of A.
