We still can’t quite decide if ‘Gangnam Style’ is hilarious or slightly nightmare-inducing. One thing is for sure though--the mega-hit is straight up addicting, although we’re not exactly sure why.
It's true -- everybody likes Psy's 'Gangnam Style.' This latest (and perhaps most impressive) version is performed by the Ohio University marching band. And although Korean rap doesn't necessarily translate to

The video for the PSY song 'Gangnam Style' now has over 250 million views on YouTube and is the most "liked" clip in the video-sharing site's history. All this attention on the dance tune has really put K-pop and South Korea in the spotlight. This isn't sitting well with Kim Jong-un, the leader of North Korea. So, the dictator's recorded his own take on 'Gangnam Style,' called 'Kim Jong Style.'
PSY is, of course, currently incredibly obscure in America. But we think that his "cover dance" of a Beyonce pop hit might just break him through, maybe get him on Ellen.
"The song is characterized by its strongly addictive beats and lyrics, and is thus certain to penetrate the foundations of modern philosophy." That's the description of this video on YouTube. And they might be right -- Psy's 'Gangnam Style'
Last time he was on 'Ellen,' Psy taught Britney Spears a thing or two about "Gangnam Style.' This time, he is only there to rock it. He gives an amazing performance, tarnished only by the fact that Ellen's audience doesn't speak a whole lot of Korean and has a kind of hard time singing along. Other than that, fantastic!
Well, this thing has clearly gotten out of hand. There have been so many parodies, covers, remixes and tributes to 'Gangnam Style,' that we thought we'd save you all some time and find the most ridiculous ones we could. Hitler, Gandalf and Taiwanese students who didn't study hard enough all make the list, as well as hot moms and so many other absurdities that we may as well cut right to it.
No doubt you've heard 'Gangnam Style' from South Korean artist PSY. It's a hot song and very dancible even though he's singing in Korean. Even if you have no idea what the lyrics are about, you can't deny a great song is a great song.
