Pia Toscano, a leading competitor on season 10 of ‘American Idol,’ nearly brought down the house this week with her rendition of the Pretenders’ “I’ll Stand by You.”

The performance was good enough for a standing ovation by the audience.

“You were saving that for when it counts,” said celebrity judge Jennifer Lopez. “It was out of this world.”
