Over the weekend I saw people starting to change their profile picture to a giraffe in honor of the Great Giraffe Challenge. I had a few answers of what it could be in my head, but looking to see what the answer was, my answers are more accurate. Here are five answers to the Great Giraffe Challenge that trumps the alleged answer to this viral question.

The question:

“3:00 am, the doorbell rings and you wake up. Unexpected visitors, it’s your parents and they are there for breakfast. All you have is strawberry jam, honey, wine, bread and cheese. What is the first thing you open?”

Your Eyes

Certainly if you were woken up at 3:00 a.m., the first, natural thing you would do is open your eyes before anything else.

Your Mouth

As you're walking to greet your unexpected visitors, I know one of the first things I'd do is open my mouth, usually to ask myself who could be knocking on the door at that forsaken hour.

The Curtain

If someone is knocking on my door at 3:00 a.m., I'm going to have to have a peek first. I'm not just going to let anyone come in at this time of day - especially not in this town.

The Toilet Lid

I don't care who they are, I'm gonna take care of my business first. If they needed immediate attention, they wouldn't be knocking on my door at 3:00 a.m.

Your Respiratory System

I know this is kind of a stretch as your respiratory system is probably already open, but hear me out. I sleep with a cpap. It's a breathing machine that forces air through my nose so I don't snore and/or stop breathing. I'm a mouth breather by habit, but breath through my nose when I'm asleep so when I first wake up I have to adjust my breathing all over again.

Again, these are my answers. They won't score me any bonus points, but I thought of all of these first until I found the true answer when I thought to myself, "no, I would do all of these first before that." Maybe I don't need to take these challenges so personally.
