In what I’d call a “shocker”, Regis Philbin announced he’s leaving Kelly sometime this year. Funny enough, I didn’t mind that Kathy Lee was leaving to do whatever. In fact, I was ecstatic. But not Regis!

“I don’t want to alarm anybody,” he began on Tuesday before dropping the bomb: “This will be my last year on the show.”
More specifically, he meant he will be stepping down from “Live! With Regis and Kelly” sometime in late 2011, though he
didn’t pin down a departure date.
So, start DVRing every episode, get all your friends together every day for Live with Regis and Kelly brunch parties, do what you need to do because Live with Regis and Kelly is ending soon.
