You all know my love for MAC Cosmetics; lipsticks in particular (especially RiRi Woo!)  Fabulous shades, tons of choices, and of course you can't beat shopping at MAC; it's a euphoria all on it's own....

Now I don't know about you, but samples are the greatest.  Who doesn't want to try before they buy?!  It's the best of both worlds.  You either fall in love and buy it, or you can pass on purchasing and still wear a great color all day.  But do you ever think about where and who those samples have gone through?  Well neither did a 28 year old woman from New York, because she is now sueing MAC Cosmetics with claims that Rihanna's 'RiRi Woo' ..... gave her the herpes simplex virus. The New York native applied the color, only to have sores show up two days later.

"(MAC) didn't use a fresh or new lipstick tube, but rather one that had been  used for other patrons," she said, adding that the company should have trained  their employees to use disposable tubes  and "should have known . . . it was unsanitary and exposing patrons to possible spread of disease." (aceshowbiz.com)

I personally always ask for a fresh, unused sample and I never share my cosmetics because yes... you can spread diseases!  MAC is looking into the allegations because they do take their safety of consumers VERY seriously and of course RiRi herself has yet to make a statement.  But try before you buy... might need a warning label for some:  ASK FOR CLEAN SAMPLE (I wasn't aware that this might not be common sense!)
