Robert Pattinson Is As Tired of the ‘Twilight’ Movies As We Are
Judging by how much speculation and frenzy there is about Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart‘s ârelationship,â it’s clear we’re in the middle of the final media blitz for the âTwilightâ saga. We couldnât be more thankful, and based on a recent interview, we’re not alone.
The vamp man himself is also ready to move on.
Recently, Pattinson told ShortList magazine that he’s pretty over playing the brooding ancient vampire Edward.
âPlaying the same part for a while, you just run out of ideas,” he said. “You feel kind of useless, you donât know what to do anymore. I kind of got to the end of my inspiration.â
We agree that Patz isnât the useless one in the series, but we can tell heâs run out of ideas — as has the sagaâs publicity team — but Rob isn’t dumb enough to sink his fangs into the hand that feeds him, either. He knows the movie franchise has afforded him a very comfortable life (even if the tabloids seem hellbent on making him miserable).
âIâm not trying to get away from ['Twilight'],” he quickly added. “Youâre screwing yourself, youâre saying you think your work is sh** if you try and get away from it.â
That said, these comments may not go over so well with Twihards: âYou get to the point where youâre like, âI donât want to do a film for a teen audience anymore.ââ
Eek. Mighty dangerous words, but weâre with you, Rob. Weâre all ready to move on. We know âCosmopolisâ didnât do so well, but we still want you to branch out beyond the undead.
Which may, of course, mean finding a new girlfriend, too.
