Robin Thicke has thrown in the towel. Despite his very public efforts in apologizing to his estranged wife Paula Patton, the 'Lost Without You' singer has hired an attorney to start going through his assets and figure out a financial settlement once the two get a divorce.

This news arrives just days after the couple put their Los Angeles home on the market for $3 million.

While it's clear that both parties are moving toward ditching all efforts for a reconciliation, Perez Hilton reports that Thicke is still holding off on hiring a divorce lawyer.

So it's Patton's time to make her move. However, with the way things have been going, putting the final end to this relationship on legal terms might be a likely step for the actress.

Looks like the 'Blurred Lines' creator has a lot more stuff to write about for his next album.
