With training camp opening Friday, the defending National football League champions start the preseason right where they finished up in the rankings after last season, in the No. 1 spot.

The Seahawks were followed in the rankings by San Francisco, Denver, New England, and Green Bay (tied with New Orleans) in the top five.

Pat Kirwan of SiriusXM NFL Radio/CBSSports.com had this to say about Seattle.

"The world champions are still intact and have the ability to repeat, but that's a long way off."

At the bottom of the poll were the Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars and, at No. 32, the Oakland Raiders.
