Selena Gomez, who hasn't released an album full of new material since 2013's Stars Dance (hint hint), surprised fans by posting a brief video earlier today (July 21), with little detail to go with it.

The black-and-white clip shows Selena writing out the word "Revival" in sharpie, followed by the date "10.9" on a blank sheet of paper. What could this cryptic message mean!?

You've probably already connected the dots, but a decent, educated guess should point toward the assumption that Selena just revealed her upcoming album title and a tentative release date, all in the span of a 15-second video clip.

While no other details about the album exist so far, we do hope she goes for a sound similar to her most recent single, the sultry summer hit "Good For You." Fingers crossed that the album will feature more sultry vocals a la Lana Del Rey, now that Selena's recognized her strengths, singing-wise..

During a recent interview with Elvis Duran she admitted, "For this record I wanted to find my sweet spot, if you will. I know that maybe vocally I wouldn’t be the greatest singer in the world, but I know my strengths now. I know that I can translate emotion and heart, and I’ve written more than I’ve ever written on any album for this record. I have a lot to prove, but I think, for instance, this song is totally in my register. It’s smoky and fun and sexy."

Check out the video of Selena above and let us know if we're totally off the mark, and you think she's hinting at something completely different.
