Fair Highlights: Sunday, Sept. 28

Last day -- so what's our first stop at the Central Washington State Fair?

The dancing horses! They start at 1:30 p.m. at the Coca-Cola Grandstand, presented by Les Schwab. We saw dancing horses at this year's Sunfair Parade in Yakima -- talk about crowd-pleasers!

OK, maybe they're not our first stop. We're g

Fair Highlights: Friday, Sept. 26

Whee! TGIF! (Thank God it's fair time.)

And Friday.

It's our day to play, eat stuff we might regret later and go watch Monster Trucks! Not to mention seeing Joan Jett tonight!

Now, with the weather feeling more like a regular September in Yakima, here's our agenda:

  • Big, fun rides -- we gotta hit the bungee-trampoline jump over by that little tiny horse thing. We are

Fair Highlights: Thursday, Sept. 25

We're a day late for Hump Day, but we figured there'd be way too much of a line at the camel rides if we went Wednesday anyway. So that's at the top of our list today.

These animals are based in Yoncalla, Ore

Scared of the dark? Fine.

But at Terror on the Ave, what you can see might be even scarier than what you can't see.

When you pull on a pair of 3D glasses, a world of untold horror will make itself known.

Worse yet, it

Let's class it up a little today, what do you say?

First stop -- after grabbing a quick cup of Americano to go -- is some fine arts displays, upstairs and in the annex of the Ag Building. Local painters, carvers

Yeah, yeah. We probably should be at work or school or in court or whatever -- but NOT TODAY!

We're hitting the Central Washington State Fair again because, among other things, it's Franz Bread Day

Fair Highlights: Sunday, Sept. 21 [VIDEO]

When they open the gates at 11 a.m., the first thing on our mind is ... no! We're not eating like that again today. But we DO intend to sample some craft beers.

It's Central Washington University Day at the fair, so maybe we'll celebrate by stopping by the Ag Building at 1 p

All right, so we've worked out the kinks and everybody's still got George Thorogood songs running through their head after his Friday night.

What's up for today?

Well for starters, there's the Sunfair Parade, which starts at 10
