Sneaker Wave Hits Hard on Oregon Coast [VIDEO]

Beach-goers in Coos Bay, Ore., were treated to a large wave that sneaked up on them recently.

Steve Raplee was filming the waves crashing into a rock barricade when, out of nowhere, a large wave started to come in. The force of this wave looked dangerous enough for him to head to higher ground.

Fortunately it seems he and the rest of the people milling around the beach made it to safety, but those sneaker waves are as exactly as they're titled -- they can sneak up on you.

Glad everyone made it to safety and that Raplee was able to upload this video.
