The MTV VMAs are this Sunday (Aug. 27).Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas collaborated with several Native American musicians on a solo project called "Stand Up/ Stand N Rock." This was inspired from the movement on The Standing Rock Sioux Reservation in North Dakota and the fight against the Dakota Access Oil Pipe Line, #NoDAPL. The video features footage from the area of the reservation where the protest took place. And where actress Shailene Woodley was arrested for being a part of the protest. Shailene Woodley is also featured in the video.

Taboo collaborated with Native American Musicians from across the country. Including, Emcee One, Drezus, PJ Vegas, Spencer Battiest, Doc Battiest, MC My Verse, and Supaman. Supaman has performed here in Yakima, The Yakama Nation, and surrounding areas. Taboo himself is half Native American (Shoshone) and Hispanic. And is also a cancer survivor.
