Portland's Talbott Brothers and Yakima's favorite adopted son, Blake Noble, set the bar high for this summer's weekly free shows on North Front Street.
Downtown Summer Nights featured the local group, American Honey. They used a specific mic that looked awesome. When I went up on stage, the lead singer said, "here, you can use this one." I felt like I was in Madison Square Garden.
We only have two more weeks of Downtown Summer Nights and as the temperatures cool, the flavor of the music gets hotter with Avion and Rafael Tranquilino. The free entertainment starts at 6 p.m. on North Front Street with a Latin, blues, rock and funk vibe that will surely get you and the family dancing.
It's still summer. It's still downtown. But the nights are dwindling.
With just three more Downtown Summer Nights concerts left, we're appreciating them all the more! And tonight (Aug. 4) brings the awesome sounds of Snug Harbor and Yakima Valley favorite Camille Bloom.
Downtown Summer Nights is going to be the best night ever. Not to mention that the weather in Yakima will be amazing! The event is free, but, the band is going to rock our whole city! Too Slim & The Taildraggers will be on stage bringing the excellent rock, southern rock and blues to historic North Front Street, July 21.
We promise: It won't rain this week!
Get ready for a perfect evening this Thursday (July 14) when the Robbie Walden Band, plus Slings and Arrows, perform at Downtown Summer Nights on North Front Street.
The Robbie Walden Band hails from the west side, but they've played Yakima before -- they were at DSN just last summer...
It's only our second week in our new North Front Street location for Downtown Summer Nights, but with more room, more vendors and more people, we're figuring the rest of this summer will be more fun than ever.
So make yourself at home Thursday (June 23) from 5:30-9 p.m. and enjoy this week's two musical guests: Yakima's Sophia Tilley and the Olson Bros Band.
