When my wife and I meet new people, the question eventually arises on what we do (for a living). I tell them I work here and my wife stays home with the kids. For no reason what-so-ever we have to explain that she stays at home mostly for financial reasons because day care for 3 kids, one with special needs, would be way too expensive so we're actually saving money by having my wife stay home.
