The Yakima Police Department is hosting another 'Coffee With a Cop' tomorrow (May 3rd) inside the bakery at Rosauers supermarket (410 S. 72nd Ave.) from 8-10 AM. The goal of the program is to offer citizens a chance to ask questions of local law enforcement in a relaxed, non-confrontational setting.
To me, the Central Washington State Fair is all about the food. Foot-long corn dogs, ice cream, funnel cakes and especially the elephant ears. If you can't make it to the fair this year but still need your elephant ear fix, they have them for sale as Rosauers.
Everyone has their vices. I don't smoke, I don't drink coffee, I stay away from hard alcohol. But one thing I'm pretty fond of is pop from the soda fountains usually found at most gas stations. It's something I call a B.A.P. which stands for Big A$$ Pop.
Today, June 1st 2012, marks the first day that alcohol can be sold in local grocery stores in Washington state. Some 17 year old kid already tried to shoplift what he's not legally allowed to buy for another 5 years.
