Check out the line-up for this year's Yakima Sunfair Parade!

The fair started Wednesday and a parade is planned for 6:30 Thursday in downtown Grandview. It's billed as the larges summer parade in the Yakima Valley.

The Yakima Sunfair Parade Board has announced winners of this year’s parade in a variety of categories.

Verlynn Best, the President and CEO of the Greater Yakima Chamber of Commerce has been named the Grand Marshal of the parade.

This year's Sunfair Parade starts at 10:00 am Saturday September 24 and follows the same route as previous years starting at 16th and Yakima Avenue

We need sign holders, 2 people for the banner, and some to pass out flyers. The theme is Endless Fun, so wear something fun, bright colors,an old Halloween costume, whatever, lets just make it fun!

Last year around this time we had visitors from our sister city in South Korea in town and in the parade. This Saturday, September 21st, it will be happening again.

Everything was perfect for Saturday's 56th annual Sunfair Parade in downtown Yakima -- temperature in the 70s, blue skies overhead and miles of bands, classic cars, beauty queens and firetrucks easing their way down Yakima Avenue.

On Saturday (Sept. 24) many showed up to watch the 2016 Yakima Sunfair Parade. This is the biggest parade in Yakima and the parade last a couple of hours. I'm not sure what the exact count was for all the entries. But lets just there was a long wait for us to get in the parade...
