Taylor Swift’s 1989 World Tour Takes Seattle by Storm [PHOTOS]

Taylor Swift played to a SOLD-OUT crowd Saturday night at CenturyLink Field as her 1989 World Tour rolled through Seattle, bringing along a few surprise guests.

Shawn Mendez (who was celebrating his 17th birthday) opened the show to 60,000 screaming Swifties who are looking to replace Justin Bieber with a more handsome role model. Vance Joy, whose hit single "Riptide" could be heard echoing throughout the stadium as the sun began to set, riled the crowd, which wanted Taylor Swift on stage at that moment.

Taylor had videos playing on the big screen reintroducing herself as a pop star and explaining the album title "1989." Taylor said it "signified her rebirth" as an artist and she wanted to include her birth year to represent this major change in her music. Clearly Taylor is on to something, having sold out the 60,000-seat stadium on the edge of Seattle --something pop kings One Direction failed to do.

She opened the show to a deafening roar as she played "New York" and the momentum never came to a halt. Taylor had a few surprises for the crowd, including bringing out Fetty Wap out to perform his hit single, "Trapt Queen." A few songs later, singer Ciara came out to wave to the crowd, followed by her beau, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson. The crowd found a way to get even louder with all three on stage, making that moment a memorable one for Taylor herself.

She played a few remakes of some of her early country songs to fit the pop scene, even doing a guitar only version of "Mean" with a subtle message to pop rival Katy Perry. She closed the show with an intense version of "Shake It Off" followed by a huge fireworks display.
