My wife and I still play Pokemon Go when we can. We used to play around the neighborhood, but now we mostly go to where the Pokestops are so we can restock on items. After checking out a few of the best places in Yakima for playing, we discovered we always get more done at one particular spot and it's not a public park and it's not even downtown Yakima.

That place is Chalet Place on 56th and Summitview.

Specifically, the parking lot behind Starbucks. There you'll find four Pokestops and, on most evenings, they're usually lured so instead of hunting for Pokemon, they'll come to you.

It makes it very handy and if battery life is an issue with your phone like it is with mine you can play inside your car while your phone is charging.

You're bound to run into other Pokemon Go players here at any time of day. There's also Starbucks, Wray's and even that snow cone shack to you can get yourself a treat while playing.

Now don't get me wrong, downtown Yakima is a wonderful spot for playing Pokemon Go. If you have someone in your car with you, you can drive up and down the street collecting on Pokestops and there's even a few spots you can park to be in proximity of two Pokestops to take advantage of, but I live closer to Chalet so it's more convenient for me.

That's my favorite spot in town, but what's yours? Tell me in the comments.
