It is hard to imagine that the CD turns 30 today. The first CD to go on sale was Billy Joel's "52nd Street". I remember being on the radio and making the conversion to CD and I remember buying my first CD before I even owned a CD player

I asked our office gals on what was their first CD's. Vanilla Ice and Bobby Brown along with a good smattering of rock n roll from Journey and AC/DC seemed to be the first of many of my co-workers. I admit to purchasing Asia's "Then And Now" in the long box form.

What was your first CD? ...feel free to leave your comments below and let's stroll down memory lane. I thought you'd enjoy taking a look at the old Columbia House Record club TV ad and see how it was in the stone age before the internet.
