Cowiche Canyon Brewing Company hosted a Monarch Butterfly Release Party this past weekend and it was a lot of fun!

Besides having a food truck and plenty of brews (and cider) available, the brewery had musician Blake Noble on stage to dazzle the crowd with his didgeridoo instrument! At one point, Blake allowed children to come up on stage and blow into the didgeridoo. Later, he jumped onto the grassy knoll and played his acoustic guitar as the children jumped and danced in front of him.

The monarch butterfly release was promptly at 3 p.m. Dozens of gorgeous orange, black and white speckled monarchs took to flight. One lonesome monarch lingered around, clinging to an audience member's hair. Hilarious!

All in all, it was a fun event for the whole community to enjoy with the "King of Butterflies," the grand Monarch!
