The New ‘Ghostbusters’ is the Movie My Daughters Deserve

There's a lot of people already bagging on the new "Ghostbusters" movie saying it won't live up to the original or is a pathetic excuse of a reboot. These are people who, of course, haven't even watched it, yet. I'm here to say that this new "Ghostbusters" movie is exactly what we need right now and I'm looking forward to it.

The reason is this movie is perfect for my daughters.

When this movie is released, one of my daughters will be 8 years old. That's right around the same age as I was when the original "Ghostbusters" film was released and I loved it. It was a new type of super hero where it was okay to be geeky or nerdy which is exactly what I was and still am.

This movie gives my daughters some female heroes who are far from perfect, but have something unique about each one. It gives them something to cosplay as, it'll give them a fun character to relate to. I'm not looking forward to it for me. I already have two awesome "Ghostbusters" films I can look back on. This one is for my daughters.

The other "bottom line" faction for the haters is that most of them are over 30 and male. That'd be like complaining that there aren't any violent video games at Chuck E. Cheese, you're out of the target demographic so your opinion doesn't count. Just watch and enjoy the original and pass on this one. Easily done.
