This is an occasion I was looking for to for quite some time and, I'm here to say, they're just as good as I remember.

Now, this isn't the first Pita Pit in our area as there's one in Ellensburg as well as a location in West Pasco. However, this is the first one in Yakima.

I used to live in Tri-Cities and would frequent the one there when I could. I used to live near one when I spent time in Idaho Falls. I'm so happy to see this back where I can visit when possible.

So, what is the Pita Pit all about? Basically, think Subway, but wrapped in a pita. There are a lot of healthy alternatives including hummus and more. They even have breakfast pitas that I need to try next time I visit. I opted for the buffalo chicken. Then you add your veggies and cheeses as they're grilling the meat for you. Once done they wrap it up like a burrito and you're off!

You can now find the Pita Pit at the old Lee Semon building off the corner of 2nd Street and Yakima Ave. It's next to Subway across from the Yakima Craft taproom.
