Yakima has plenty going for it. We have a strong beer and wine industry, great local music, some of the best agriculture in the world and so much more. There is still a few things we're missing in our humble valley. Here are a few things I'd like to see in Yakima.

Accessible Playground
We have plenty of playgrounds in Yakima, but we need one that's wheelchair accessable. Even if they take an existing park and make it wheelchair accessable would be wonderful.

Barcade
Popping up all over the country are these 'barcades' which is part bar and part arcade. A great way to have a drink while playing Ms. Pac Man. I'd love to see one of these in Yakima.

Water Park
Miller park does have a little water element, but I'd love to see a full-sized water park complete with slides, lazy river and more. Either an indoor aquatic center or outdoor park, either way.

Zoo
Pretty self-explanitory. I'd love to have a zoo in Yakima!

Observitory
We have a great museum, but would love to have an observitory. One of those dome structure that you can see the planets up-close. I think the closest one we have is in Goldendale. We need something closer.

Ramen Restaurant
We have a very nice variety when it comes to eating options, but we still don't have a place that serves legitamate ramen. Kyoto's isn't bad, but I want a place that specializes in ramen.

Dog Park
We might have a couple of enclosed spaces for dogs to roam free unleashed, but I visited a dog park in Seattle where, once you're inside, it's a huge playarea for dogs. I'd love to see something like that here.

More Sidewalks
It's harder and harder to be a pedestrian nowadays. So many people going for walks or jogging their neighborhood, but some have to do it in the street as there's no sidewalk to accommodate. I'd like to see some of the busier places have a proper sidewalk.

And what about you? What did we leave out? Tell us in the comments.
