Community leaders mingled with citizens of Yakima inside The Seasons Performance Hall, as they bonded over a shared grief over the Orlando club shooting at Pulse, near Disney World.

The somber mood filled the dome of The Seasons, yet there was something calming about coming together with people to share your grief about the tragedy.

The vigil began with musical selections played by a pianist and a violinist. All the while, the pictures of the victims were displayed on the projector screen, showing the faces, names, and ages of the slain.

Each of the 50 people who lost their lives inside Pulse were listed. Candles were passed out and we all took a light of the fire to burn our candle. The vigil ended with audience members in attendance coming up to the microphone and saying a few words to express their grief, wishes for a better, more tolerant world, and thanks for those who showed up to support the community.
