"It's cold outside," is one of the biggest understatements this season. If you're at home and have the itch to leave the house, here are a few places you could go in town to warm you up.

Valley Mall
On Main Street in Union Gap
When in doubt, there's Valley Mall. There's enough shops to peek in to definitely kill some time. You'll get a bit of a workout while you're at it, too, working on that New Year's resolution all at once.

West Valley Library
On 72nd across the street from Rosauers
Not only can you come in and enjoy a book, or read to your children or use their computers, but they have an actual fireplace inside. Perfect for defrosting your feet.

Kyoto's Sushi and Steak House
Off of 24th and Washington
Kyoto's features great food and a friendly staff but also has hibachi tables, complete with flames shooting up from the grill. You can feel the heat on this. It's a dinner and show and sure to warm you up.

Mongolian Grill
The Washington Ave. side of Valley Mall
Another restaurant that features it's primary cooking apparatus in the middle of the restaurant. It heats up from nothing to cooking in a matter of seconds. I love this place.

Coffee Shops
any of them
From Starbucks to Northtown Coffee to Tom Tom Espresso, any place you can come in for a moment, have a seat and grab a warm drink from coffee to chai tea to hot chocolate makes this cold season a bit more tolerable.
