You've driven down a side road just to avoid those 'driver's ed' cars, haven't you? Well, as it turns out, we're safer than most as Washington State ranked in the top 10 states for best teen drivers! See, those great Driver's Education classes we have are working!

More shocking is that the number one spot belongs to New York. Odd because if you live in NYC, you never drive. Number two belongs to Oregon which is cool, too. I'm guessing Oregon is up there because the speed limits are so slow.

Washington State came in 7th place.

Teen Driving Conditions in Washington (1=Best; 25=Avg.):
13th – Number of Teen Driver Fatalities per Teen Population
27th – Number of Teen DUIs per Teen Population
1st – Presence of Distracted-Driving/Texting-While-Driving Laws
13th – Presence of Teen Driver’s Graduated Licensing Program Laws
7th – Number of Vehicle Miles Traveled per Capita
1st – Provision of Occupant- Protection Laws
1st – Presence of Impaired-Driving Laws

South Dakota, Wyoming and North Dakota round out the worst states for teen driving. Maybe it's because of all the snow, I'm not sure.
