Once upon a time there was what was known as the nuclear family: a working father, a mom who stayed home and took care of the house and maybe a couple of kids. That's the way it was.

Now, though, fathers -- and mothers -- sometimes work two or even three jobs, which doesn't allow as much quality family time.

Just in time for Father's Day, WalletHub has ranked all 50 states on which ones are best for working fathers. This list took into consideration working conditions, time spent with family and more for dads hoping to obtain a good work/home balance.

Washington came in 15th place. Not bad, but not great. Still, better than most.

Apparently, Minnesota is the place to be -- it was first on the list. Mississippi, however, was last.

When other stats were broken down, our friends in Oregon came in first place when it comes to lowest average hours worked. Not bad!

You can see the full list at WalletHub's website. How about you, though? Do you find balance at work and home? Do you find yourself working too much or even bringing work home during hours that could be spent with family? Or maybe you're not working enough hours, so you have lots of time at home but not enough money to spend on the family? Sound off in the comments.
