After a weekend gauntlet of shopping from Black Friday to Small Business Saturday onto Cyber Monday the next day is reserved for Giving Tuesday. It's a day where you can help by giving to a non-profit organization, school, foundation or even someone you know that could use the extra assistance. Here are some ways to help.

For Non-Profits

By simply spreading the word on social media networks is a great way to start. Some may not know about an organization in the first place. Make people aware of what they do.

For Schools
Consider hosting an on-site volunteer fair. Get involved with what your school does and maybe pitch in some ideas to help out.

For Businesses
Look into notions where the business matches funding efforts for local organizations and help by proving to the matching fund pool.

For Families
Have your children pick out a toy to be donated. Also, consider hosting a community bake sale for charity.

For Cities
Be your city's cheerleader for hosting city-wide campaigns highlighting local charity events.

There are lots of ways you can help and many of them are basically free. See more ideas through the Giving Tuesday official website.
