West Valley Cheerleaders Hosted a ‘Cheer Camp’ with Children’s Village

Just wanted to give a personal 'Thank You' to the West Valley high school cheerleaders for hosting a Cheer Camp through Children's Village. My girls had a blast!

I'm a huge fan of Children's Village for everything they do an provide to Yakima. My autistic son gets help, therapy and support through Children's Village and they also provide a lot of other fun activities that my girls can experience. Several months ago there was a ballet class they could attend to see if they like ballet. There was also a basketball camp to have them experience basketball. Over Thanksgiving weekend they teamed up with the West Valley cheerleaders to have a 'Cheer Camp' where children through Children's Village could learn a few cheers and a cheer/dance routine. The whole ordeal only lasted a couple of hours, but it's something my girls will cherish forever. They really enjoyed it and my daughter, Laura, expressed interest in maybe doing more cheer leading once she gets to high school.

Again, thank you West Valley cheerleaders for sacrificing your Saturday to help all of these eager-to-learn kids and thanks to Children's Village for providing experiences that we may not have the means to access otherwise.
