This Halloween you may see some blue-ish greenish pumpkins on doorsteps. Don't worry, they haven't gone bad, they're just colored teal to raise awareness for food allergies and to remind people to include something for all trick-or-treaters.

The Teal Pumpkin Project from FARE (Food and Allergy Research and Education) wanted all kids to be included in trick-or-treating even if they have food allergies.

Consider everyone when having treats by your door. Maybe have options like little boxes of crayons, bubbles, bouncy balls, stickers, etc.

If you want to take the pledge or would like more information, you can find it at the FARE website. They even have a sign you can print out and put on your door to let kids and adults know there are other options.
