Dude! How much did you eat these past few weeks? Oh a lot? Yeah me too! My husband ended up gifting me a kitchen aid mixer and I have been bitten by the baking bug so hard I fear I might need a little therapy...and I though baking was supposed to be the therapy! hahaha seriously I feel a little fiendish, searching for more butter and sugar....what can I make next!? #cranberrymixer #aintshepretty :) #notanadiaminlove

I'm sure I'm not alone when it comes to loving on Christmas treats and I bet I also am not alone with the gaining of a few extra pounds. So! I know everyone loves the saying new year, new you but why wait?

It's a proven fact you will have better success when you join a group AND I have TWO to choose from Get It Right! Get It Tight! and What The Health Is Up? They are both private groups so all the struggles and victories we share are ours to celebrate together. PLUS each of them has fitness instructors and nutritionists in the group, so if there are questions you could find some really good answers! :) I HUGE shout-out to Michelle Winicki She and I connected in 2017 and she helped me reach my goal weight. I started at 231 and have been in the 170's since March 2018! You can do this, I believe in you...so you want to know how I did it?

I held myself accountable. I tracked my food. (you could use a Fitbit; Lose It - I use this one and CLICK HERE for a list of more and what is cool about each one) It's ALL about calories in and calories out. Yes you can work on cutting back sugars and carbs but it's the AMOUNT of calories you consume a day and then how many you burn off that has your weight yo yoing. After I started tracking I realized I was eating over 2,000 calories a day, delicious but not how you lose the pounds.

I LOVE food, like love it enough that I would think about what I wanted to eat next WHILE I was eating my current choice! I knew I had a problem but I seemed to be able to take off 30 pounds when I REALLY felt like I had gained TOO much so it was like a sick little game I played with myself.  I ALWAYS gained the pounds back and the worst was getting up to 260 and knowing I was out of control.

So I had to go for it. I went from eating over 2,000 calories a day to 1,200 calories a day. I tracked my food, sometimes even before I ate it so I could see where I was. I would eat pickles to get the crunch when I was craving food because they are only five calories a piece and sometimes I cried because I was hungry and I had eaten all my calories for the day.....at 4pm in the afternoon! But I kept pushing and each week I lost a few pounds and a few more and each week I didn't gain anything. I lost 30, 40, 50 pounds and then I had to start working out because I had a plateaued.

A whole NEW set of challenges because of the working out I wanted more food but I couldn't let those calories in and erase all the calories I worked so hard to burn off. So I created my groups and I shared my struggles and people shared theirs. We lift each other up and take pictures of cool and weird fitness trends. Need some ideas for meals? Got that too! I am FREAK about pinterest and even have a board called Get It Right! Get It Tight!

I had tried diets for YEARS but it was the mindset change and the support that really helped push me over the edge so before this new year even starts, let's get you set-up!
