When do Fireworks Go on Sale in 2015?

If you're looking for firework stands to open in the surrounding Yakima areas, they're set to open this Sunday (June 28).

Remember, it's illegal to light fireworks in the Yakima city limits.

State Fire Marshal Charles M. Duffy reminds you to know the laws before purchasing or discharging fireworks and to purchase only legal fireworks.

By state law, you can only light fireworks from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. most days and until midnight on the Fourth of July.

To make sure you stay safe this Fourth, remember the three B's.
Be prepared (have water nearby and keep pets inside)
Be safe (only adults should light fireworks)
Be responsible (clean up after yourself)
