Whitney Houston Dead at 48

Whitney Houston, the legendary singer whose talent carried her to superstardom and whose tumultuous personal life ultimately put her under the pop culture microscope, died today at the age of 48.

The night before the Grammys, TV and movie stars expressed their grief over Houston’s death, and acknowledged her influence on a generation of performers.

 

 

 

At Grammys rehearsal hearing Whitney Houston has passed away at 48. Everyone here is absolutely stunned.

 

 

 

I am so sad to hear about Whitney. We have lost one of the greatest singers of all time.

Tomorrow night at the Grammys, the only person on our minds will be Whitney Houston.
