Wondering When White Pass Will Open?

When it comes to winter sports, there is no question that White Pass is the local hot spot for snowboarding, skiing and sledding ... and unfortunately in this area, there is no way for White Pass to predict when the resort will open up. But they have given us an estimated date!

For the past four seasons White Pass has been open by late November or the first week of December. This year, however, is different as we are rolling into the second week of December and it is still not open. On Saturday my family and I took a nice drive up the pass to get out of town, and you can definitely see the lack of snow. It's obvious why the resort is not open yet. Nonetheless, even with the lack of snow, a decent number of families with young children were enjoying the lack of crowds and having some fun sledding! So get up there before the crowds and enjoy the snow!

If you are waiting for the crowds, though, and the opening of the lifts, according to the  website (You can see here) they are estimating an opening date of Friday (Dec. 14). You can check the Snow Report here!
