Wrong Maple Leaf Put On Canadian $20 Bill

Ok, this morning we talked about Canada putting the "wrong" maple leaf on the Canadian twenty dollar bill! I understand that having the correct emblem could be a problem...But, why is it this big of a deal over the "wrong species" of Maple leaf?

Canadian citizens are mad because this maple leaf is foreign. Well, I wouldn't want anything 'foreign' representing our country, I guess!

What if somebody messed up and put a Phoenix on our American $20 instead of the famed "American Bald Eagle" Wow! I hope that doesn't happen!
