Yakima Farmer’s Market is Expanding to Tuesdays This July

Our popular farmer's market is expanding their schedule this summer.

Traditionally, Yakima's weekly market is held on Sundays from May until October, but now organizers say they're expanding the market, to Tuesdays.

They want to make the market more accessible to people in the community.

The event's manager says the Tuesday market will be smaller in size but will still have plenty for people to enjoy. "It's going to be an afternoon market, starting at four o'clock, which will allow downtown people to shop on their way home, get fresh produce," said market manager, Don Eastridge.

Eastridge says the Tuesday market will start July 23rd and run until the end of September. The Sunday market began last Sunday and runs through October.
