Yakima Man Dies in East Spruce Street Shooting

A 28-year-old Yakima man is dead after a Saturday night shooting on East Spruce Street, the Yakima Police Department reported this morning (Feb. 12).

Officers say Eddie Abrams was on the ground and not breathing when they arrived in the 800 block of East Spruce after reports of shots being fired at about 9 p.m.

Medical personnel arrived a short time later and were unable to revive Abrams, who police say suffered more than one gunshot wound.

Police think the shooting could be gang-related, but they have no suspects so far.

This is Yakima's second reported homicide of 2017.
