I love playing Pokemon Go with my 5-year old daughter, Willow, so when I finally arrived at my office desk this morning, I immediately grabbed the phone and rang up the business to find out "the tea" and get the scoop on all the shenanigans going down this Saturday at Yakima's Emil Kissel Park.

"I started playing [Pokemon Go] since the Thursday that the game was released", says Sno, a super-friendly employee at Yakima Networking. "We are doing this [free event] because playing the game is a phenomenal way to meet people in the community and to get out and exercise!"

Yakima Networking will be handing out free Team Badges and charge sticks for people attending the Pokemon Walk, and local area internet provider, Washington Broadband, will be ensuring that attendees without data plans receive free wifi throughout the park.

Another bonus of attending the first-ever Pokemon Walk: If you download the app, Charity Miles, you can "donate" the miles you walk to a charity of your choice. (app store/google play)

Sno says she has walked more than 30 miles playing Pokemon Go! You GO, girl!

Sno recommends gamers visit the Yakima Greenway and the Yakima Arboretum as great spots to meet people and make new friends while collecting Pokemon Go characters and lures.
