The Nob Hill Plaza Development Facebook page just announced that they have signed a new national chain restaurant that will be a first for the east side of Washington. That's all they've said. Do you have any ideas what it could be? Let's narrow down the guesses.

Just signed the lease on the remaining space in the new building up front (Starbucks Building). National chain restaurant. Currently NOT anywhere in Eastern WA. I could say who it is, but that wouldn't be any fun!

Many people are hoping for a Chipotle, but, as they mention, there's already one in Spokane, so it's not them.

TGI Fridays, In and Out Burger and Whataburger are possibilities, but would they really want to put a new 'casual dining' or burger place next to the already established Red Robin? Probably not.

We already know Jimmy John's and Dickies BBQ are going in the area, so it's not those.

Another thing to consider is that the space doesn't allow for a whole lot. It's not the size of a Red Robin, for instance. It's the perfect size for a Pita Pit, but they have those in Ellensburg and Tri-Cities.

It has already been confirmed that a Krispy Kreme doughnuts is going somewhere in the Yakima Valley. Many speculate that it could be that, but I wouldn't classify Krispy Kreme as a "restaurant."

One thing I think Yakima needs more of are fried chicken options. We have KFC. The chicken at Abby's Pizza isn't bad and there's always the deli case of most grocery stores, but we don't have a Popeye's Chicken or a Church's Chicken. I would love it if it were one of those.

My other guess is that it's going to be a pizza place. I saw MOD pizza a few times. I'm not familiar with it, but, who knows? I'm sure they'll announce it sooner or later.

If you have any guesses, I'd love to hear about them.
