Last night when I turned in for the night there were a few snowflakes. Not only did we get a few inches of snow but the first flakes that fell melted and then froze so there is ice underneath on all of the Yakima Valley roads rendering them very dangerous. Drivers are telling us that going up and down any hills (eg. 40th Ave.) without a 4 wheel drive is insane.

That said, if you have kids, here are your snow day schedules:

-Yakima Sch. Dist: 2 Hours Late, No AM Pre-School, No AM Classes @ YV Tech.
-East Valley Sch. Dist: 2 Hours Late, No AM Pre-School, Buses on snow routes.
-Selah Sch. Dist: 2 Hours Late, No AM Pre-School, Buses on snow routes.
-Union Gap Sch. Dist: 2 Hour Delay, classes will begin at 10:30 am. No breakfast will be served. Morning Pre-School/Head Start, if normally scheduled for the day, is cancelled. Afternoon Pre-School is still a go. It has not been determined if there will be school sponsored after-school events. Latchkey will be offered after school.
-Granger Sch. Dist: Granger Schools will be open and on time. Please drive safely.
-La Salle - 2 Hour Delay
-Grace of Christ Presbyterian - Closed
-Paterson Sch. Dist: 2 Hours Late, No AM Pre-School.
-Naches Sch. Dist: 2 Hour Delay.
-Vista Hermosa Elementary: 2 Hour Delay
-Hanford Workers Car Pool: 2 Hour Delay, Report @ 9am. Only essential employees.
