Yakima, We Need to Step Up Our Parade Game. Watch this Dragon Float in this Parade in Hawaii [VIDEO]

I went to Hawaii last year. I happened to be in town when they had a parade that my dad wouldn't stop talking about. I thought to myself, "I'm in a lot of parades, the last thing I want to do is watch one on my vacation." But I did and I'm so happy I did. This is how a parade should be!

This dragon float was one of many awesome ideas for a parade. This one had its share of high school marching bands, vets and firetrucks -- staples at most parades -- but it was just fun.

They had dance troupes that danced down the street, they had a party bus representing the local rock radio station, they had flatbed trucks with live bands playing on the back. It was really, really cool! That video above was my favorite part.

If we can work out something like that for our parades, I think we'll be in good shape!
