Yakima’s Best Singer Contest Comes to YVCC

Associated Students of Yakima Valley Community College (ASYVCC) will host auditions for the annual Yakima’s Best Singer Contest on January 17-18, 2012. The event gives students and community members of all ages the chance to compete for the title of Yakima’s Best Singer. The contest takes place on January 26, 2012. Tickets cost $2 and can be purchased at the door.

Auditions: January 17 & 18, 2012: 4:00-6:00pm in the Martin Luther King Room of Hopf Student Union Building. Contestants will need one full song (two minute time limit) of their choice prepared for the audition. They will also need to provide an instrumental version of this song. The same song will be performed at the competition. One person is allowed to accompany the contestant. A piano, CD player, and microphone will be provided.

Rehearsal: January 24, 2012: 4:00pm in Kendall Hall Auditorium.

Contest: January 26, 2011: 7:00pm in Kendall Hall Auditorium.
Performers will be selected from the previously held auditions. Only people selected in the audition process will be able to compete in the contest.
