According to an exclusive story from The Daily News, a woman got married to a man in a civil ceremony at the local courthouse in Manhattan, N.Y. The couple never consummated their marriage and they never lived together.

Now the wife wants a divorce, but the husband is nowhere to be found. He has no address registered with the post office, no utility bills or phone bills to track him down. The only way the wife can reach him is through his Facebook account.

So a Manhattan Supreme Court judge mandated that the wife can send him four messages through Facebook serving him a subpoena, and if he doesn't respond, she will be declared legally divorced.

While I think this is a clever use of modern technology, this legal case has just opened up a can of worms if people can start suing you through Facebook.
