The East Valley Red Devils are in the lead with over 26,000 votes! They have been sharing the link a LOT on Facebook! (Great strategy!) The Selah Vikings, who are currently in second place, are not going down without a fight, bringing in over 25,000 votes! It seems as though the Red Devils have the upper hand, but hey Vikings, the voting doesn't end until Sunday night, 11:59am! You know what to do! VOTE! VOTE! VOTE! :-)

The LOWER VALLEY and SELAH high schools are crushing it when it comes to school spirit! The Selah Vikings are in the lead so far with nearly 4500 votes! There is practically a three-way tie with East Valley Red Devils and the Wapato Wolves.

At this point, it's anyone's "game" to win!

High school is back in session here in the Yakima Valley, and it's time for a pop-up MASCOT PEP RALLY!

High schools would feel kind of empty without their mascots. I am trying to remember my Tennessee high school mascot. Ah, yes, I remember now: we were the MAPLEWOOD PANTHERS! RAWR!

Every sports team needs a great mascot, you know? The Seattle Seahawks NFL football team has Blitz, an EAGLE. The Yakima Valley Pippins baseball team has Scott E. Pippin, an APPLE. Even the local Old Country Buffet in Union Gap has a BEE!

We want to see which high school has the MOST school spirit! Vote for your favorite high school mascot! To get even more votes for your fave, it's a great idea to share this page on your social media (Twitter & Facebook)! Vote as many times as you like!

Open results voting will run from Monday (Sept. 10) at 3 p.m. through Friday (Sept, 14). Voting polls results will be hidden beginning Saturday (Sept. 15) in order to make the revealing of the winning school mascot a surprise! That means you need to vote A LOT!

Voting officially ends on Sunday (Sept. 16) at 11:59 p.m. All votes will be tallied on Monday (Sept. 17), and results will be posted no later than Wednesday (Sept. 19) at 5 p.m.

The winning school will get a special certificate to certify "Yakima Valley's Favorite Mascot 2018"!
