I am originally from Los Angeles, but grew up in Edmonton, Alberta. In between I spent two years of my childhood in Montana. One in Great Falls and the other in Havre. My mom married a Canadian when I was 9, and we moved to Canada. Because the winters in Edmonton were too damn cold, I moved back to California once I was 21. My radio career has taken me to Casa Grande, Ariz., and to Palm Springs, Fresno and San Luis Obispo, Calif., and back to Edmonton, and Yakima. I play poker, basketball and flag football in my free time. My claim to fame is that my wife Monica is sisters with the former Miss El Salvador 1996, who came in sixth in that year's Miss Universe competition. Of course I think my wife is prettier than her sister! I also have a 12-year-old daughter named Noel who is in junior high and was the fifth-grade champion high jumper.

In Yakima You Can’t Escape The 12’s
In a blog I wrote on March 12th I talked about many of the homemade displays of Seahawks "12" logos you'll find throughout the Yakima Valley. Ironically Todd and I just drove back yesterday afternoon after a day at the Seattle Seahawks training camp at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center in Renton when, just before we turn into the Townsquare Media parking lot, we spot this car proudly pe
Rare Ken Griffey Jr./Ichiro Suzuki ‘Coopertown Bound’ Bobblehead
I went to Pike's Place Market over the weekend and found this Ken Griffey Jr./Ichiro Suzuki double bobblehead doll at a secondhand store. Turns out it's quite rare and valuable, so if you're a Mariners fan it's time for a ROAD TRIP!
Recycle Your Cans, Plastic Bottles And Cardboard Here In The West Valley
The city of Yakima only provides a single can for all of our trash -- unlike the city of Seattle, where you get cans for regular garbage, recycled items (cans, bottles, cardboard etc.) and another can for yard clippings and grass. So if you want to be a good citizen and conservationist in Yakima, you can go downtown and make a couple of bucks on your bottles and cans BUT if you just want to dispos

Is Yakima Synonymous With Violence?
Before I moved to Yakima I heard how violent and nasty it was. Once I moved here I found that it was actually quite pleasant and, with all the rolling hills and trees, more attractive than I had been led to believe. I was also told that the violence has subsided greatly from what it was 15-20 years ago...

This Is Why Ole Miss OT Laremy Tunsil Slid Out Of The Top 10 In The NFL Draft
I was still here at work waiting to see who the Los Angeles Rams would pick at #1, who the top 10 would be and who the Seahawks would pick at #26 in the 2016 NFL Draft. Prior to the trade that landed the Rams the top pick there was wide speculation that Ole Miss Offensive Tackle Laremy Tunsil could be the top pick in the draft...
