The city of Yakima is looking for help from community organizations to operate two popular facilities.

Besides the Harman Center, the fate of Lions Pool and Washington Fruit Place also got impacted by the City of Yakima's budget cuts.

If approved the levy would raise $6 million dollars to help in the city deficit problem. The other $3 million would come from proposed cuts.

The Yakima City Council is also concerned and council member Matt Brown wants to hear your concerns during a forum Thursday at the Harman Center.

The Holiday Blood Drive will be taking place from 11:30 am - 4:00 pm and reservations are required

The Harman Center, through Yakima Parks and Recreation, is hosting Santa's Workshop as well as a corresponding Lego competition this Saturday

A school supply drive to benefit students in Yakima kicks off Monday (July 1) and will continue throughout the summer.
