Tuesday was election day in the Mabton, Selah and HIghland School Districts

The Yakima County Auditors Office has sent out 17,000 ballots for the Tuesday special election. Voters in Mabton, Highland and Selah are being urged to fill out ballots and return them to the auditors office by 8:00 pm Tuesday.

Highland Community Days kicks off this weekend, Friday through Sunday, featuring more than 30 vendors providing food, entertainment, kids games and more. Here's the schedule, according to organizers:
