I keep seeing reports from across the nation on 'Why you eat pork and sauerkraut on New Year's Day' or 'why you eat black eyed peas and cabbage on New Year's Day' but do we even have a tradition like that in the Pacific Northwest? I don't think we do. Maybe we should start one.

What is that one food that you have tried once and will never, EVER, try again? For me, that food is menudo or "tripe," which is sort of a fancy way to say "chitlins" in Spanish! I am never trying menudo again! In fact, the only Menudo I like is the one with Ricky Martin in it...
