This is a staple in the Yakima Valley and I'll be honest, it was looking a little scary during the pandemic. First, they closed their doors and there were rumors that it might not open again. That was heartbreaking to hear, I know I'm not the only one who grew up enjoying late-night coffee and chats with friends there, so I am SO happy to help spread the word that NOT ONLY are they open, but Mel (the owner) is STILL bringing coffee to your booth or helping you check-out.

The hubs and I have VERY different tastes when it comes to pizza toppings. He is more a traditional pizza lover with a mega crust, red sauce pineapple, ham with the added touch of pepperoni. I LOVE to take advantage of the fact you can basically add every single topping on the line and your pizza will still fire up crunchy and delicious.

The sandwich from this place is the kind of delicious where you want to stuff your face. You've got sauce on your cheeks and juices dripping down your arms and you are loving every single umami-filled bite!

The other day I noticed they had to shut down, due to a leak in the roof. With everything going on lately that's the last thing any restaurant needs so I was happy to see that they now are back open, taking order for take-out items currently and ready to serve you!

Supporting the passion and time someone's put into creating enticing and unique menu options is something to be celebrated and for a date night with the hubs, Waterfire Restaurant and Grill was the little corner of heaven right here in the Yakima Valley we chose.

First off, let me tell you ordering their hummus is a must. They don't play around and offer up more than just a traditional house blend. They also feature spicy or jalapeno cilantro served with their daily fresh-made pita.

Another hidden gem in Yakima and this time we're headed to Tammy's Mexican Restaurant located at 1010 North 1st Street for Food Friday's with Sarah J powered by Coca-Cola of Yakima and Tri-Cities for date night with the hubs.

Bring the crew and come hungry because HopTown Wood Fired Pizza in Wapato is serving up some of the most incredible pizza combinations, all to be paired with their wide assortment of local craft beers and ciders!
